LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Goodby, August!

Hello, September! Labor Day weekend 26 years ago is when we met and started dating soon after. This year was a special one because Rich's and Ron's and Judi's families were together for most of it.

The hibiscus was in full bloom until everyone showed up. Hmmm...can't explain that.

Well, since "we can't see Ella," just use your imagination. Pretend she's the cutest one-year old in the family.
Oh....there she is!! What did I tell you?

Ron and Danielle brought their chocolate fondue fountain and we all went a little crazy. Tori will never speak to me again when she sees this picture. Like father, like daughter.

More daughters and aunt Andrea (same mouthful expression) />

Grandpa and the little girl cousins daintily eating their chocolate...now there's good manners.
Woops! What happened to the dainty manners?

Oh, well...she cleaned up pretty good. On her way to the pool with a bunch of toys to throw in.
The pool and hot tub were the main attraction...last swimming of the summer.

Okay, this is a little demonstration of how a one year old prepares for a photo shoot.
"Okay, this is the perfect spot...bring the camera right over here."

"Now let me set this up just right."

"Okay, let me turn this around for the most optimal position."

"Woops...hang on while I fix my legs...I'm all tangled."

"Okay...I'm ready! Shoot! Don't you just love this pose? Nothin' to it."
Now for the 2nd annual sailboat regatta.

Austin and Harrison get their boats ready.

Twins Courtney and Caitlin (or visa versa) run neck and neck until the very end.

Here's the little gals with some help from Andrea while Rich, Judi and Brian look on.

Brianne and Redden rule the 11 year old catagory.

Redden wins the grand prize...a big tummy ache.

Life is good when there's lots of family and food.
This is payback for dozens of pictures of Gary asleep with his mouth open over the years. A fitting ending for a great weekend.
