Every year Gary makes the turkey and stuffing. This gives him access to the cookbook where he finds the recipes I've saved from years gone by of yummy things that I never make for him because they're too fattening. This is so depressing. Actually we did stop on the pie page and the two of us made pumpkin and apple pies for our dinner.
This, however, is cookie dough for treats that we planned to share with friends. I'm pretty sure that we'll have to make more soon. :0)
Natalee entertained us with a number of flute solos while we were working on dinner.
Dinner was traditional and everything turned out perfectly for a change. We ate the same thing for several meals afterward.
Friday morning the kids were so excited waiting for Sophie and Sam to come. Natalee was bouncing off the walls so we had to take drastic measures. This is reminiscent of her Aunt Pam who had an identical picture taken many years ago.
Harrison was practising up for a serious battle with Sam, his partner in crime, and he ganging up on the girls and the adults.
We kept the girls busy digging out the Christmas decorations...
...setting up for the Disney corner in the piano room...
...and putting together the "children's" tree and train display with all the Disney ornaments. I just call it the children's tree; it's actually mostly for me.
When Melora and Keith the the kids showed up we put them right to work hanging Christmas lights which was pretty impossible for Gary to do this year. Then we fed them leftovers.
