AROUND THE HOUSE

Gary's clever outdoor light display couldn't have gone up this year without Melora and Keith doing the actual work while Gary bossed them around.

Hurray! All the gifts are purchased, wrapped (except for 2 in transit,) and the Christmas cards are in the mail. We've watched a hundred Christmas movies with only another hundred to go...well, slight exaggeration maybe.

Notice the new "do"...a lady at church thought it was my real hair grown back. No, you don't get to see a picture of the real hair yet. It's coming in though. Considering everything (hair, body, broken fingernails, etc.) I could easily pass for a little boy.

Gary saw something like this in a magazine and copied it...artist that he is. I strongly protested due to my lack of self control, but he got his way. I knew I couldn't leave these alone and I was right. I am NUTS about them. We have a box of goodies in the freezer that we have made together...he sits on the stool and measures, pours, stirs, and shapes while I bring him ingredients, bowls, spoons, spatulas, etc. We have been having a blast, but all that weight I lost during chemo is coming back.

It's been over a week now since Jack Frost made a very thorough visit to the valley and we've had freezing temperatures all day long every day. The frost is beautiful and doesn't appear to be melting anytime soon.

The drive to church is frosty orchards, grass, and vineyards everywhere...difficult to capture on film, but nonetheless gorgeous.

Okay...we got tired of having no place for guests to sit without bringing in the dining room chairs, so we purchased a couple of these chairs which are a nice and comfy fabric and fold up for storing.

Our home is filled with lights and Christmas music (yes, heavy on the Osmonds) and even though we're maimed and crippled, we are loving the season.

That's so impressive to have all your shopping done! Go Carol! And you'll have to tell Gary his goodies display looks just like it would in a magazine :)... this time of year is just wonderful
