VISIT TO RON'S

On to Ron's for 11 more days.

Fathers Day for a Father and a Grandfather.

You couldn't tell which was which if you only saw their hair.

Look who got the highest score in Wii bowling...klutsy, uncoordinated grandma!!

Recipients of the Young Women's Personal Progress Awards with their medallions.
Caitlin, Victoria, and Courtney. They finished in time to receive their awards while we were there to witness the presentations.

WHAT???? Could these be the same 3 girls??

Ron's greatest Fathers Day gift was being surrounded by all of his children.

We spent a lot of time cooling off...we Westerners aren't used to the hot humid climate of the South.

Ron...lord and master of the water works.

The Splash contest:

Most participants made impressive splashes.

Whether or not this is Ron is uncertain, but he did ultimately come out the winner.

However Victoria gave him a good run for his money and came in 2nd.

And here's his fan club.

"Don't eat Pete" was a big favorite along with cousin Bingo...we finished the bag of M&Ms by the time we left.

We celebrated the twins' 13th birthday a few days early before we left....

...with the traditional flag cake.

Arriving home we discovered a near-disaster in our garage. The board holding up the top shelf had split at a knothole and caused each shelf to fall, saved only by the lawn mower which wedged up against the freezer...saving us from a total disaster. The freezer was new (to us) right before we left on our trip...good timing.

We were very excited to see the lillies in bloom because we thought we would miss them entirely.

The butterly bush had quadrupled in size in the month we were gone.

The garden went crazy, but we were glad to discover that some of the families to whom we offered peas, lettuce, etc. had come and picked while we were gone.
What a great month we had! But it's good to be home.
