WEEKEND IN UTAH

Lunch with the return missionaries on Friday was a great success. There were about 20 there.

Some of the sisters were married and two were pregnant that we know about.

This was so great seeing all these wonderful young people that we served with in Korea.

We saw a lot of this hugging as they were all excited to see each other, some of them after several months. These two were dancing partners at English camp which was on video in a previous post.

Kneeling down is Elder Wakamatsu who is Danielle's (Ron's wife) brother's wife's nephew. Whew!! What a great guy!!! Well, they all are!

Here are the mission's two redheads! Comments of the Elders who saw them each for the first time in "civilian" clothes: "She is really cute!"

A couple of old APs in the back row. Gary's AP story has been passed down for several sets of APs...wonder if it's still going on. (The story about the APs in his mission in Texas...one he really became friends with, and the other not so much. One of them is a General Authority and one has been excommunicated...the point being two extremes. Which was his friend? The answer is heartbreaking. He then would ask the Elder "which one will you be?"

On Saturday we went to the morning session of Conference in the Conference center...quite the experience. Two of our old missionary friends and Gary's neice went with us. Then we took his neice back to temple square later to see the Joseph Smith movie which is always a very moving experience. This time we saw Bobbi and Grant who are extras in this movie but not very visible. This is our 4th time to see it, but our first time to find them. We were excited!
Sunday evening we attended a fireside for return Korean missionaries.

Ah, yes...another old AP who was there when we first arrived in the mission and always a good friend. He, like many others, loved coming to our apartment for dinner, and actually brought his parents to our home for dinner when they came to pick him up.

Two return missionaries from our mission that went home and got married.

Another former AP...two guys that were excited and surprised to see each other.

Some of our favorite sisters who certainly are very much cuter since coming home.

Driving home through the snow in Idaho on Monday. We missed it by a day!
